Wow! We have done it! We are officially on the interweb~our very own site, with our very own cart, and everything! This has been a long, LONG time in the making. Why, you ask? With technology what it is and so many options to choose from in launching a site, it should be easy, correct? No, not for me! Options paralyze me. I second guess all the way to the billions. God kept whispering, I kept trying to warm up to the idea, until, finally, my stubbornness gave way to obedience! So, here we are!
Here's a little more about us than the "about us" gives. We are located in the great state of Louisiana. We have our business here, at our modest home. We love animals and most people. There are cats and dogs, of course. The two horses and five goats allow us to walk in their pasture if they've seen a bucket or heard the tractor rumbling toward the hay barn. Aside from that, as long as there's a nice petting involved, they are game.
We love to create. We love to see pieces of fabric, bits of wool or cotton, balls of string, and spools of thread turn into a wonderful, complete little piece of our heart to share with others. We take what we do seriously, when it comes to quality and durability. We don't take ourselves too seriously when it comes to boundaries on artistic expression.
We take joy in making clothes for children, from babies to size 14. We love to make blankets, burp diapers, bedding and accessories for brand new bundles of joy. Then, there's our heart....Sprouts! We make our Waldorf dolls from natural materials, all the way from tufts of cotton and wool to finished baby dolls, crochet and hook their hair from natural yarns. We clothe them with designer quiltying cottons. When requested, we even write and illustrate stories to go with them!
There is another division of Sprouts, entitled lovies. These precious little creations aren't made from all natural materials, always. We use minky for many of them, which is 100% cotton. You will see some dolls in the lovie collection. The reason for this is because they are not Waldorf style(all natural) and we do not want to mislead anyone!
You will not find buttons or small parts on our dolls. We want your little ones to be safe. We test the dolls for durability before they leave us, but still ask that you not allow your child, 3 or under, to play unsupervised with them.
Thank you for your time and interest. We hope you will come back and would love to be part of your family. We have taken a big step, for us. I suppose every first, new step is big. We know God has big, great and wonderful plans for us, to glorify Him through this venture. We can hardly wait! Thank you for coming along for the ride!!
